Turtle pebbles have been smoothed over time by the natural weathering action of moving water, removing any sharp edges or potentially injurious surfaces. Turtle pebbles make an excellent substrate for turtles with a shell length greater than 4 inches. They are a variety of different sizes and colors, resulting in a very natural looking substrate. Turtle pebbles are very easy to clean, and can simply be rinsed off to remove debris. Under water, the turtle pebbles will be colonized by bacteria, which contribute to proper water quality.
