Native to subtropical and tropical moist climates, Begonias come in a variety of growth habits. From the vibrantly colored Begonia rex 'Macarena' to trailing and creeping species such as Begonia 'Withlacoochee', Begonias have become a favorite of hobby gardeners. They make a perfect addition to outdoor garden spaces but can also add a flair of color to an enclosed terrarium. As a houseplant, they require moderate care and are an excellent species for any intermediate gardeners looking for a hardy but demanding challenge plant.
