We will pick five bromeliads, mostly pups 1/2 to near full size. Genera and cultivars are diverse,including neoregelia, billbergia, vriesia, aechmea, and others. All are good candidates for vivariums and will come with names. We will send as many different varieties as possible.

As always, our bromeliads are grown in our greenhouse, most from stock plants we have had for several years. We know exactly what goes into these, and they are guaranteed frog safe. Since we do grow them in Michigan, the colors aren't always as bright as they could be, especially in the winter and early spring. Give them a bit of light, they will brighten up quickly.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root to lower the shipping cost. Therefore, you will either need to plant your plants in your terrarium when they arrive or be prepared to pot them. Plastic or Styrofoam cFedEx with a hole in the bottom for drainage make great temporary pots.

Plants are shipped from the greenhouse and separate from all other items purchased. Plants are shipped Monday-Wednesday and Saturdays. Plant Orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST in order to ship the next shipping day. Plant shipments during extreme weather are only guaranteed when someone is present to receive the package on the first delivery attempt. All plant shipments will not ship if the low temperature dips below 20 degrees in Stockbridge, MI or the destination city.

All plants are guaranteed to arrive healthy and true to name. This guarantee is void during extreme weather if someone is not present to accept the package on the first attempt. We can not guarantee long term survival of plants since we cannot control the customer's care and conditions. In order to ensure that plants arrive in the best condition possible, plants will not ship until temperatures are above 20 degrees in Stockbridge, MI and the destination city.

Quality

When I ordered this I was expecting the plants to be bigger. They were wrapped well and arrived alive, but within 2 weeks one of the smaller Bromeliads died. The other 4 are looking good and one is growing at an amazing rate.
The price is pretty good at roughly $5 per plant, but the shipping cost is a little pricey.
In the end they have been worth it and I am overall content with them. (Posted on 5/8/12)
