This is a clone of "Fireball" that I call "Hot Pink" . These are vigorous growers with excellent pink color if given adequate light. They do hold water, although not a huge amount, and max out at around 8" diameter on each rosette. A nice small bromeliad for small vivs. We are currently shipping mature plants, often with new pups started, which you can mount or plant as you desire

As always, our bromeliads are grown in our greenhouse, most from stock plants we have had for several years. We know exactly what goes into these, and they are guaranteed frog safe. Since we do grow them in Michigan, the colors aren't always as bright as they could be, especially in the winter and early spring. Right now they are mostly green. Give them a bit of light, they will brighten up quickly.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root to lower the shipping cost. Therefore, you will either need to plant your plants in your terrarium when they arrive or be prepared to pot them. Plastic or Styrofoam cFedEx with a hole in the bottom for drainage make great temporary pots.

Plants are shipped from the greenhouse and separate from all other items purchased. Plants are shipped Monday-Wednesday and Saturdays. Plant Orders must be received by 8:00 PM EST in order to ship the next shipping day. Plant shipments during extreme weather are only guaranteed when someone is present to receive the package on the first delivery attempt. All plant shipments will not ship if the low temperature dips below 20 degrees in Stockbridge, MI or the destination city.

All plants are guaranteed to arrive healthy and true to name. This guarantee is void during extreme weather if someone is not present to accept the package on the first attempt. I just received this plant today, and it is even more beautiful than I expected. I like that it isn't 100% pink. It's a nice blend of pink with maroon and greenish tones. It holds water better than I expected also. I am very pleased with this and will probably buy one for my next tank as well. (Posted on 3/18/11)
