The Exo Terra Monsoon RS400 is a programmable rainfall system suitable for all types of terrariums and greenhouses. It helps maintain optimal humidity by generating precipitation at programmed intervals, the duration and frequency of which can be easily adjusted depending on the type of animal or plant housed. Frequent rainfall helps stimulate breeding behaviour, and is a necessity when housing live tropical plants such as Bromeliads, orchids, mosses, etc.

The system can be programmed to rain multiple times per 24-hour cycle, for time periods ranging from one second to two hours. The large 4 liter (1 gallon) reservoir ensures continuous operation for several days without the need for refilling (ideal for vacations!), and the reservoir can be easily replenished without needing to uninstall the entire system.

The Exo Terra Monsoon RS400 comes with two easy-to-install nozzles, but the system can be extended to accommodate up to 6 nozzles, making it ideal for multiple terrariums. The rain produced by these specially designed nozzles is extremely fine, creating a mist-like effect in the terrarium or greenhouse, and the extra long tubing makes it possible to conceal the unit in a storage area or under the terrarium in a cabinet.

The monsoon worked great for my terrarium! i use it for my fire belly toads, whites tree frogs, and barking tree frogs, they love it! really easy setup and the tank holds alot of water so it doesnt need to be filled often. (Posted on 10/25/11)

The Monsoon was very easy to set up, and ever since I started using it my terrarium is so happy! I have a 75 gal. tank with live plants, and some little anoles and geckos. I was having trouble keeping the plants alive, and my lizzards were...well, surviving. Now my plants are growing like crazy and the lizzards are very active and healthy looking. It is also very easy to fill and maintain. I recomend using distilled or at least filtered water, though. The city water made spots on the glass, and I imagine it would clog up the sprayers eventually. Great product! (Posted on 9/24/11)

So as I'm unpacking it I find two extra nozzles. I'm thinking how cool that they gave me extras. After putting it all together and no mist I finally tracked down the problem. The nozzles had no holes in them for the mist to come out. Changed them out with the "extras" and it works great. Real fine mist and nice looking easy to use unit. Loving the remote control I purchased as well. (Posted on 8/19/11)
