Lobster Roaches (Nauphoeta cinerea) are a great large feeder for adult bearded dragons or similarly sized insectivore. Easy to care for, nutritious, and easy to breed, lobster roaches are a convenient way to provide your pet reptiles and amphibians with a delicious bug meal. Lobster roaches are one the fastest breeding roaches out there, but they do climb, so make sure to house them properly!

Lobster roaches hail from the Caribbean. Lobster roaches can climb smooth surfaces, but they cannot fly. They can glide, but cannot gain altitude while gliding. Newly hatched roaches measure about 1/8" long, while adults measure up to about 1 1/4".

Josh's Frogs cannot ship lobster roaches to the following states: Alabama, Georgia, Hawaii, and Oregon.

Josh's Frogs has the proper USDA permits in place to legally ship lobster roaches across most state lines. As long as you do not live in one of those states, you can legally order and receive lobster roaches from Josh's Frogs. A copy of the relevant permits is available via email upon ordering. We partnered with the USDA to create a handout informing any insect/animal/plant purchasers to not release organisms into the wild, and how to dispose of them properly. This informative flier is included free of charge with every lobster roach purchase.
