Because of this we’re able to ensure that every animal, plant, bug, or dry good leaves here representative of the quality we’re known for. Don’t worry – our plants, bugs, and frogs are still backed up by the best live arrival and health guarantee in the industry!

Insect Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)

Our goal is to get insects to customers that are alive on arrival every single time! We understand that sometimes because of extreme temperatures, handling mishaps, or shipping mistakes that just doesn't happen. For the times when your live items don't quite make it, we have a generous 3-Day Life Insurance Policy on all live insects! We employ top of the line shipping supplies and procedures, and guarantee that your insects will arrive alive under any weather conditions. Josh's Frogs offers a live arrival guarantee on all live insects when shipped with a next day or two day service, in any weather. Don't worry, our checkout will ensure sure you select a covered shipping option.
Please familiarize yourself with the different requirements to make sure your order is covered every time! During winter, arachnids can only ship FedEx Priority Overnight.
Claims on Insect Orders: If your insects arrive dead or in poor condition, please reach out to our customer service team promptly. We ask that, if possible, you reach out within 72 hours of delivery. Please hang on to your insects as our customer service team may ask that you send pictures of your invoice/packing slip and insects to [email protected]. Generally, this only applies to customers with recent other refunded or reshipped orders, or if the value of the claim exceeds $150.

Plants Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)

Josh's Frogs cares about the wellbeing of your plants, which is why we reserve the right to hold plant shipments if we believe temperatures during shipment will cause damage to the plants. Orders will be shipped when the weather becomes more favorable. Josh's Frogs offers a live arrival guarantee on all live plants when shipped with a next day or two day service, in any weather. Don't worry, our checkout will ensure sure you select a covered shipping option.
Claims on Plants Orders: If your plants arrive dead or in heavily-damaged condition, please reach out to our customer service team promptly. We ask that, if possible, you reach out within 72 hours of delivery. Please hang on to your plants as our customer service team may ask that you send pictures of your invoice/packing slip and plants to [email protected]. Generally, this only applies to customers with recent other refunded or reshipped orders, or if the value of the claim exceeds $75.

Animals Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)

All animal shipments are sent via FedEx Priority Overnight. Temperatures are checked by our team at the time of scheduling and the day of shipment to ensure safety for your animals.
To keep your animals safe:
  • We will delay shipment when the origin temperature exceeds 90°F.
  • We will delay shipment when the destination temperature exceeds 90°F or the overnight low is less than 30°F.
  • If the overnight low at the destination is less than 40°F, we require the animal to be picked up from a staffed FedEx location.
Josh's Frogs guarantees that all animals will arrive alive and in good health, provided that:
  • Someone is present to accept the package on the first delivery attempt if delivered to a home or business.
  • Or, the package is picked up by noon the day of arrival if the package is held at a FedEx Ship Center for pickup.
Claims on Animals which Arrive Deceased: If your animals arrive deceased, Josh's Frogs requires that:
  • Customer notifies us of the condition of the animal(s) within 1 hour of arrival via email at [email protected], or at 1-800-691-8178.
  • Customer sends picture(s) of the animal(s) within 24 hours of arrival to [email protected].
If the animals arrive deceased a refund or replacement will be sent.
Claims on Animals which in Poor Condition: If your animals arrive in poor condition, Josh's Frogs will extend the health guarantee to 14 days. Josh's Frogs requires that:
  • Customer notifies us of the condition of the animal(s) within 1 hour of arrival via email at [email protected], or at 1-800-691-8178.
  • Customer sends picture(s) of the animal(s) within 24 hours of arrival to [email protected].
If the animals are not perfect at the end of 14 days, a refund or replacement will be sent.
Claims on Animals which Arrive Healthy but Fail to Thrive: If animal(s) purchased arrive in good shape but fail to thrive within 7 days, Josh's Frogs requires that:
  • Customer contacts us promptly and provides the following information:
    • Pictures of the animal(s) and habitat (make sure to show the ENTIRE enclosure), as well as a brief description (substrate used, type of top, lights, etc)
    • What is the temperature and humidity in the enclosure? What device are you using to measure these? (digital or analog thermometer, etc)
    • What other animals are/were present in the enclosure?
    • What is your prior experience with reptiles and amphibians?
    • What did you feed the animal? Include feeder insects, supplements, pelleted food, etc.
    • How long has the animal been in your care?
    • What kind of water did you use with your animal?
    • Did the animal behave unusually before? If so, please describe the behavior and the duration is has occurred.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of tadpoles, Josh's Frogs guarantees live arrival of tadpoles. With the exception of dead arrivals, shipping for tadpoles is non-refundable.
If Josh's Frogs deems the animals failed to thrive by no fault of the customer, reward points for the cost of the animal will be issued.
