This fruit fly media is specifically designed to the needs of hydei. Each 2.25 Lbs. bag contains 10+ cups of fruit fly media. This fruit fly media already contains a mold inhibitor so there is no need for vinegar. It also is full of vitamins, color enhancers for your frogs, and a smell reducer so your cultures won't stink. I recommend using 1/2 cup of media with equal parts water.

Why is your media so much cheaper than other online stores?

A lot of research and trial and error went into making Josh's Frogs Fruit Fly media.  This hard work led to the best fly media on the market hands down.  This media smells better and produces better cultures than any other media.  Due to the volume of media i sell (and use) I am able to buy the ingredients wholesale.  That means that even if I posted my recipe, I would still be able to sell it for less than the average hobbyist could.  So, if you are using someone else's media, it is time to switch to a less expensive, better media.  If you are making your own media, your costs are probably more than if you bought my media.  Especially if you consider the fact that you will have to make less cultures with my media due to the extremely high yields of my media.
