Great product. I would recommend this to anyone. I made a false bottom in my vivarruim and then layered the netting across the bottom, None of the ABG fell through the bottom into the water. I am very pleased and the plants are thriving. (Posted on 12/12/12)

when i startd setting up my dart frog/electric blue gecko habitats I was using soil from my local pet store. After a while it compacted and started to smell bad. Then I tried the ABG mix and have never gone back to just soil! In fact I changed all of my habitats to the ABG mix!! The plants love it and it holds up very well! Excellent product!!! Order a couple of bunches of this stuff from the start, you'll want to have extra on hand. I ordered the 1-gallon bunch first, ended up not really being deep enough for my tank, which is a 1'x1'x1.5' for a viv project. The fiber in it actually holds up a rather unbalanced piece of wood without having to pack the substrate down around its base. Drainage is awesome, as is moisture retention. Also, I moved a couple things around one night, went to bed, and then found some green shoots coming up here and there the next morning. I definitely don't mind that, interested in seeing what those turn out to be. Very happy with this mix. (Posted on 8/11/12)
