This is one of Josh's Frogs 32oz Fruit Fly Cultures, containing Drosophila melanogaster, and will be 2-6 days old when you receive it. Drosophila melanogaster are smaller (about 1/16") than Drosophila hydei, and are an ideal food for poison dart frogs, fish, praying mantis, young frogs and toads, and other reptiles, amphibians, or captive animals that require small foods. Each culture is made with Josh's Frogs World Famous Fruit Fly Media, containing all the vitamins, minerals, and color enhancers that your pets need to thrive. I absolutely love Josh's frogs!! The quality of the cultures and fruit flies is way beyond compare. I've worked for a public aquarium that raised/bred dart frogs and now I am a teacher with the dart frogs in my classroom. I've only been using Josh's flies for a couple of years now, but they are by far the best cultures out there! I have never seen a culture produce with so many flies and maintain production for so long!
