Josh's Frogs is accepting applications from qualified candidates for our third annual Amphibian Conservation Grant program through November 4ᵗʰ, 2022! These grants are another way to help preserve the survival of species in the wild. We strongly believe that it is possible to have both a thriving pet trade and thriving in-situ populations of the amphibians we love. This year we'll be giving a total of $5,500 in the form of seven grants to the seven most deserving and impactful projects: four worth $500, two worth $1,000 and one worth $1,500.

Projects eligible for funding in 2022:

• Projects involving in-situ conservation of amphibians
• Research involving field work that has a direct impact on amphibian conservation

If you are awarded an Amphibian Conservation Grant, you must agree to:

• Commit to a primary interview concerning what the grant money will be used for, and how it is aiding conservation. Interviews could be done via video, phone or email, and will be shared with Josh's Frogs employees and the public in general. Interviews will take place between November 14ᵗʰ and November 18ᵗʰ, 2022.
• Commit to a follow up interview within six months of receiving the grant, discussing what your efforts have accomplished in the way of amphibian conservation. Interviews may be done via video, phone or email, and will be shared with Josh's Frogs employees and the public in general.
• Provide pictures and/or video footage of your project in action. We want to help you do what you do, show the world and inspire others!

Josh's Frogs will be choosing seven applicants for grants. We will be partnering with the applicants to create blogs/videos to show members of the pet trade what you do/plan to do, and how it impacts wild populations of amphibians. Any information shared with us may be shared publicly. Ultimately, one $1,500 grant winner, two $1,000 grant winners, and four $500 grant winners will be chosen by public vote. The $1,500 grant winner will be provided with travel aide to present their project at a herpetocultural symposium, pandemic allowing. Applications will be accepted through November 4ᵗʰ, 2022. After that date, applicants will be contacted via email by December 12ᵗʰ, 2022 to inform them of their status. We plan to have grants distributed by December 31ˢᵗ, 2022.

• November 7ᵗʰ – November 11ᵗʰ, 2022 – Applications are reviewed, 7 are selected for further advancement
• November 14ᵗʰ – November 18ᵗʰ, 2022 – Selected Applicants are interviewed
• November 28ᵗʰ – December 9ᵗʰ, 2022 – Interviews and applicant information shared with Josh's Frogs audience and the public for input
• December 12ᵗʰ, 2022 – Grant winners are contacted
• December 31ᵗʰ, 2022 – Grants distributed
