3 Day Insect Life Insurance Policy

Our goal is to get live insects to customers that are alive on arrival every single time! We understand that sometimes, because of extreme temperatures, handling mishaps, or shipping mistakes that just doesn't happen. For the times when your live items don't quite make it, we have a generous 3 Day Life Insurance Policy on all live insects! Even though we employ top of the line shipping supplies and procedures, we have learned that in some conditions, we CANNOT guarantee live insects. There are a few stipulations on your shipments for our 3 Day Life Insurance Policy to stay valid. Please familiarize yourself with the different requirements to make sure your order is covered every time! 

 

Josh's Frogs offers a live arrival guarantee on all Fruit Flies, Springtails, Phoenix Worms, Josh's Frogs Mealworms, Josh's Frogs Superworms, Josh's Frogs Crickets, Josh's Frogs Waxworms, and Rice Flour Beetles when shipped via a Next Day Service provided that:

  • temperatures during transit do not drop below 10 degrees for next day services
  • someone is present to accept the package when it is delivered on the first attempt

When choosing a 2nd day shipping option, we will only guarantee live arrival provided that:

  • temperatures during transit do not exceed 85 degrees for 2 day delivery
  • temperatures during transit do not drop below 20 degrees for 2 day delivery
  • someone is present to accept the package when it is delivered on the first attempt.

Josh's Frogs offers a live arrival guarantee on Timberline Crickets and Timberline Vita-Bugs provided that:

  • someone is there to accept the package when it is delivered.
  • temperatures during transit do not drop below 10 degrees

 

Claims on Insect Orders
  • Contact Josh's Frogs within an hour of shipment.
  • Provide a picture of item(s) within 24 hours if requested, emailed to info@joshsfrogs.com.
 

Plant Live Arrival Guarantee

Josh's Frogs reserves the right to hold plant shipments if they believe temperatures during shipment will cause damage to the plants. 

Josh's Frogs offers a live arrival guarantee on all Live Plants when shipped via a Next Day Service provided that:

  • temperatures during transit do not drop below 10 degrees for next day services
  • someone is present to accept the package when it is delivered on the first attempt

When choosing a 2nd day shipping option, we will only guarantee live arrival provided that:

  • temperatures during transit do not exceed 85 degrees for 2 day delivery
  • temperatures during transit do not drop below 20 degrees for 2 day delivery
  • someone is present to accept the package when it is delivered on the first attempt.

 

Claims on Plant Orders

Due to the the nature of the product Josh's Frogs does not consider minor issues to be reason for a claim. Claims should only be placed for dead or heavily damaged plants. Josh's Frogs requires the following when placing claims on plants.

  • No refunds will be given for plants. If replacement is refused by Josh's Frogs, store credit will be given.
  • Contact Josh's Frogs within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Provide a picture of item(s) if requested, emailed to info@joshsfrogs.com.

 

Frog Live Arrival & Health Guarantee

All frog shipments are sent via Fedex Priority Overnight. Josh's Frogs guarantees that all frogs will arrive alive and in good health, provided that:

  • Temperatures on day of arrival do not exceed 85 degrees before the frogs are delivered to home or business address, or nearest Fedex Hub or Print and Ship Center.
  • Temperatures during transit do not drop below 40 degrees for delivery to home or business address.
  • Temperatures during transit do not drop below 30 degrees for pickup at the nearest Fedex Hub or Print and Ship Center.
  • Someone is there to accept the package on first delivery attempt, or package is picked up by noon the day of arrival if package is held at a Fedex Hub or Print and Ship Center for pickup.
  • Solomon Island Leaf Frogs and Red Eye Tree Frogs cannot be shipped when overnight lows are lower than 40F. These species are especially sensitive to cold weather.
  • Failure to meet these guidelines will void Josh's Frogs Live Arrival and Health Guarantee.

 

Claims on Frogs

If frogs arrive deceased or in poor condition, Josh's Frogs requires that:

  • The customer notifies us of the condition of the animal(s) within 1 hour of arrival via email at info@joshsfrogs.com, or at 1 800 691 8178.
  • Picture(s) of the animal(s) must be sent by 4pm EST day of arrival to info@joshsfrogs.com.
  • Failure to meet these guidelines will void Josh's Frogs Live Arrival and Health Guarantee.

Josh's Frogs offers a 3 day health guarantee on all animals purchased from Josh's Frogs. If animal(s) purchased arrive in good shape but fail to thrive within 3 days, Josh's Frogs requires that:

  • Customer contacts us with the following information:

  • Pictures of the animal(s) and habitat (make sure to show the ENTIRE enclosure), as well as a brief description (substrate used, type of top, lights, etc)
    Temperature and humidity in the enclosure and the device you're using to measure them (digital or analog thermometer, etc)
    What other animals are/were present in the enclosure?
    What is your prior experience with frogs?
    What did you feed the frog? What did you dust the food with?
    How long has the frog been in your care?
    What kind of water did you use with your frog?
    Did the frog behave unusually before? If so, how? How long did it act this way?

  • Failure to meet these guidelines will void Josh's Frogs Live Arrival and Health Guarantee.
  • If Josh's Frogs deems the animals failed to thrive by no fault of the customer, reward points for the cost of the animal will be issued.
